I have spent countless hours, money, sweat, and tears doing it the traditional way. I know there is a better way to address the real problems in our city, county, state, and country.
Society is a mess and I am of the opinion we are living in a collapse. There is a steep downturn in our quality of life and our current leaders are fine letting us live this way. Compare the current political problem solving with our proposed plan below.
“To get something you haven't had before you have to do something you have never done before.”
If you want something done...
Chaos has erupted and we are living in a collapse. Our current leaders are experiencing paralysis, denial, and apathy. I am running for President of the United States of America as a socialist, because I am tired, angry and believe that it is time for us to renegotiate our social contract in America. The term "social contract" refers to the idea that the state exists only to serve the will of the people, who are the source of all political power enjoyed by the state. The people can choose to give or withhold this power. The idea of the social contract is one of the foundations of the American political system. My formative years were shaped by a terrorist attack, multiple recessions, exorbitantly priced wars (not including the lives lost or damage to the family) tangible worsening inequality, climate emergency, incompetence during a global pandemic and domestic terrorist crossing states lines with a gun murdering protestors and getting no time in jail. So why me? I started to say 'I'm grown thats why' but that will not do a good job of proving my maturity. According to Article II of the U.S. Constitution, the president must be a natural-born citizen of the United States, be at least 35 years old, and have been a resident of the United States for 14 years. I have passion, fresh ideas, flexibility in positions, and agility of mind. I am enough and that means I was made to be me, as I am, on purpose. It is no mistake that I am this person, in this place, at this time, I am enough as I am a mess and all beautiful and broken showing up for my life every day. I am not saddled with self-doubt about my aspirations because I am confident that there are enough people doubting me already. I am not waiting for someone to recruit me. I am doing this for me and others like me. Please note I was not encouraged to run by political operatives, colleagues, and family members. Most people within my inner circle are concerned because they know the harsh realities of America. I encourage leaders of both major parties to recruit among education and child-related networks—precisely where they would find the most women with untapped political potential. I want to help my country. This is the classic reason for running for office. I see that my country needs help and I believe I have the skills to fill that need. I am ready to start advocating for causes others aren’t able to tackle. I am running now because I feel this can’t wait. I get that there’s a lot of luck in politics and picking the right opportunity is important, but we have already had one insurrection who knows what is next if we don’t do something different. I would hope that we can all agree that America is worth saving. We need to calm down and focus on the problem. It is time to let our fear turn to excitement and begin to forge an ambitious plan together. We need to propose radical changes, implement them and turn things around. This stunning change won't happen because I am a great problem-solver. It will happen because I am an effective leader. Instead of giving ready-made answers, the people are feeling the pain, and need to do the thinking, and together we can come up with brilliant solutions that we will "own" to completion. I want to use my leadership skills to create personal ownership, build new leaders, and reduce their own burdens all at once with a simple method: give them the problem, not the solution.
